It took four weeks to complete the fabrication of the off-shore bracket and installation of the Optimax 225. The motor break-in was started on Nov. 23, 2013 under the supervision of my mechanic. His assessment of the motor was stellar.

I just wanted to throw a little feedback your way after getting home with my "New" motor.  YOU SAY THAT "YOU STRIVE TO SEND OUT THE BEST PRODUCT AT A GREATLY REDUCED COST"  YOU HAVE DEFINITELY ACHIEVED THAT GOAL!!!  I would just like to say that I was very impressed with your first class operation.  You guys really have your game nailed down.  Everyone there had a part to play and played it perfectly like a well oiled outboard!  Anything positive that can be said about the business you are in applies to Ooutboard Rebuilder!  375 miles each way to your shop, 5.00 round trip in gas and killing my body with all the fast food along route 80 west was totally worth it!  As long as you guys are up and running I really don't understand why anyone would buy a showroom motor when they can purchase one of yours and especially when you can't tell the difference between yours and a showroom motor.  Awesome Prices, Awesome customer service and Awesome Quality!!!

I bought a 1999 90 hp Rebuilt Johnson from you;s, 1-1/2 years later this motor runs like a brand new one. Power-more than a new motor, starts every time and I fish in very cold weather and heat, never shuts off once its running.
Right after I bought this motor it developed a miss, one call to these folks and I returned to be treated very nicely and the motor was fixed by replacing a part, NO CHARGE!
I will never buy a new motor as long as these nice dependable folks are rebuilding outboards, I would recommend Blackbird motors to anyone who needs a rebuilt, you will be treated well and end up with a better than new motor, My life depends on this motor to get be back to the dock and it has.

Thanks Ooutboard Rebuilder for the rebuild on my 2002 175 Johnson outboard this thing is faster then ever. We got to there shop at 9am for a complete rebuild ( wile you wait ) Dan had our powerhead off in 30min , 5 hrs later i was heading home to Maryland with a complete rebuild. It has been 7 months and this motor is smooth and FAST we took mike's advice and had them do the mild mod's and man am i glad this picked up 400 rmp. from 5500  to now 5900, this thing will run with  225's all day long!! Sent my sick 1997 Force/Merc 120 to One Outboard for a Power Head Overhaul. Two weeks later without hesitation my Power Head was returned in the same pallet I sent (which I requested) the head cleaned, overhauled and ready to go. I am 100% happy with the 2007 Mercury ProXS 250 powerhead rebuild mike and his guys did for me, It has only been 11 months but if power is any sign to how long this rebuild will last im good to go.. I have picked up 300rpm and close to 3 mph from before the motor broke.
On a side note:
I called mike on a Monday and he got me in his shop by Wednesday the same week and had me back up and running for no extra cost !! So i thought the least I could do was post this thank you to him and his guys..
