    Description

    For your consideration
Gorgeous vintage 1950s era satin princess wedding dress lot with original box & portrait photograph of the original owner wearing the dress. Comes from Frost Bros department store in San Antonio Texas. No tags on the dress. Working metal zipper on side. Portrait is professionally framed with glass front.
    Pieces found in box:
    1 wedding dress
    2 matching lace gauntlet gloves
    1 floral bouquet
2 hoops skirts with crispy tags in excellent condition
** I do not have the veil shown in photo. Was not stored with the box and I did not find it in this estate **
Shipping reflects the entire lot. I will have to build a custom shipping box for this box and add extra padding for the glass frame which is heavy. * NO PO BOX SHIPPING * If you are not interested in the frame/photo I could ship for less but you will have to message me for a quote.
Pre owned, shows light general wear. Overall excellent condition for its age. I didn’t see any age discoloration on the dress - it’s been stored protected in this box for decades. The box shows surface wear and surface loss on corners but is clean inside.
The dress itself does have markings near the bottom hems & train from being worn at her wedding and dragging the floor. These markings on the bottom train are normal - a lot of times these don’t come out with dry cleaning. It seems this was put away cleaned and stored. Maybe a little surface wear in areas. In certain light it does look like there is faint yellowing on one underarm but it’s hardly noticeable. I didn’t see any tears in the lace on the dress or gauntlets. The 2 hoop skirts are in excellent near mint condition but the netted one has a small area near the bottom that needs a seam repair - it’s opened up a little over an inch. Still wearable as is. I do not show the dress with the hoop skirts on the mannequin but I imagine it would make the dress wear very dramatically. Has not been recently cleaned. Sold as found as put away by original owner. There was a tag that said size 10 in the bottom of the box it may have fallen off the dress but I’m not sure.

Shown on women’s size small mannequin. It fit well with some room. Could possibly fit a medium too. See measurements below.
One hoop skirt is marked size 14 and the other is size 16 but that’s vintage sizing so probably like a modern S/M
    Measures approximately
55” top to bottom in front
97” top to bottom in back
    17” across shoulders
17” across bust unstretched (34) - stretches up to 18” across and seems roomy with front darts
    13” across waist (26)
14” across low waist where the v shape is
    “Open” hips
74” across bottom of front part that’s shorter
Dress is short in front so I image this would wear best on a shorter frame
