    Description

ITEM: Beautiful vintage 1950's wedding dress/gown.  Brand unknown. Made in the USA and has the blue union label that dates to the 1950s.  The cut/style of this dress is figure flattering!  Princess waist with contoured breast cups. Tulle underlay in the skirting. Beautiful train with wrist loop on the underside.  Beautiful intricate appliqued floral designs with iridescent sequin and silver glass beads and a variety of lace.  Sleeves are close fitting with buttons at the wrist. Back zipper closure with raised round Rose florals at the back waist. I believe the dress is made from a Nylon fabric with a sheer Nylon overlay.
SIZE: No size tags. Measurements taken with the dress closed:
    Shoulders (seam to seam): 14"
Bust (pit to pit x 2): 32 (may have a little extra room as the cups are contoured)
    Waist: 24.5"
Hips: 36" + (skirt poufs out dramatically at the hips)
Length (front shoulder to hem): 55.5"
Outer sleeve (shoulder seam to cuff end): 24"
Inner sleeve (pit to cuff end): 17"
CONDITION: This dress has been nicely cared for over the years. No rips or holes.  Appears to have all the beads and sequins. A few small age relate marks here or there, but these are not uncommon with garments of this age.  The good news is that most often these type of age related marks will life out with a proper laundering.
