TRUE VTG JANINE NY PARIS LONDON AVANTGARDE COUTURE ASSYMETRIC SPLIT METALLIC EUC

Description

In excellent vintage condition.  I believe it is from the 1980s or 90s, cut could possible be from the late 70s.  No visible stains, tears or snags, but it is a vintage item and has been previously worn, however, it is LIKE NEW.  The manufacturer/designer is Janine: London, Paris, New York.  Fabric was made in Italy.  The split starts at approximately 27'' and is scalloped.  So based on your height and length of legs, this could be anywhere from mid-to-lower thigh.  Very tasteful and allows for this form-fitting Evening Gown/Cocktail Dress to give you room to walk, sit or dance the night away with sophistication.

Shoulders:  14''
Bust: 18"  (36'' doubled)
Waist: 13”  (26” doubled)
Hips: 18"  (36” doubled)
Length from top of shoulder to longest part of asymmetric hem: 52” approximately
Model is  5' 8",  Bust 34A, Waist 26" Hips 36"  Clothes not pinned and as you can see, there is still a considerable amount of room to breathe.
Label says Small but measurements could possibly fit a Medium.  The fabric is unique and gorgeous.  Hard to describe. Feels like supple Leather but I came across a similar dress by same designer and the fabric was described as knit.  Fabric is made in Italy and instructions do state that it can be hand washed cool and lay flat to dry so fabric must not be heat-resistant.  Black bugle beads form a triangular pattern along the collar the borders of the open-back, the back-of-neck closures, and along the peek-a-boo cleavage with black sheer overlay that sweeps from the neck across the cleavage and part of the waist.  Dress is fully lined. Each metallic and black square is individually hand-painted giving an almost like 3-D art illusion.  This is an ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS GOWN THAT IS A SHOW-STOPPER AND QUITE THE CONVERSATION PIECE!!!!!!!
