WEDDING DRESS
VINTAGE 70s / 80s
in two-tone WHITE AND PEARL SATIN
A "princess" wedding dress of rare elegance and great distinction.
It is about a dress with train dating from around 1980 in satin of two very similar colors: the bust and the sleeves are of white satin and the whole lower part is of a very pale gray pearly white with a slight point of violine. The contrast is very discreet, barely palpable, but it gives all the subtlety of the garment.
Its particularity is to have a pleated train at the back which perfectly orders the movement of the garment under the large rear knot (also pleated).
The decor is rose-themed, with small fabric roses sewn onto the garment and small beaded roses present in the chest embroidery.
The material is a heavy satin of quality clothing, quite thick, giving the garment an impeccable fall.
This dress is shown on a size 40 model and it fitted perfectly on the bust.
The length of the dress at the front is 1.45m from the edge of the collar (upper part of the crew neck in tulle) to the bottom front of the garment.
The train is about 60 cm long at the back, i.e. a dress length at the back of about 2m00. Note that the width of the dress is very wide, by virtue of the pleating at the back.
The neck is "V" but extended with a modesty of tulle up to the neck. A superb decoration of beaded lace adorns the entire chest and goes up to the tulle.
A superb large bow at the back surmounts a beautiful pleated train.
Inside the dress, there is a double petticoat, including a tulle petticoat that is stiff enough to ensure perfectly regular loft.
It closes at the waist with a 35 cm zipper located in the back, topped with a beautiful buttoning at the level of the tulle.
The armholes are balloon armholes,
very popular in the 70s and 80s,
formed by tulle inside. The sleeves stop above the elbow.
The shoulder width is 40 cm, but the balloon sleeves allow ample play.
The width at the waist measured flat is 38 cm
The flat width under the armpits is 44 cm.
The width of the sleeve openings, also measured flat, is 14 cm.
Gross weight about 1.2 Kilogram, without packaging.
